  1. 1.God is Good

  2. Everything about God is good

  3. Jesus reveals the love and priorities of the Father in His ministry and sacrifice — He is perfect theology.  (Hebrews 1:2-3; Colossians 1:19, 2:9; John 1:1,18, 3:16-17, 14:6-7, 8:1-11,19).

  4. The enemy comes to steal and kill, but Jesus comes to destroy demonic works and give us abundant life. (John 10:9-11; 1 John 3:8; Matthew 9:11-13).

  5. God describes Himself as gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. (Psalms 103:8).

  6. God is good and, by nature, in a good mood. (Psalms 103:8-14; Numbers 14:18; Zephaniah 3:17; Galatians 5:22-23; Matthew 7:11; Exodus 34:5-7)

  7. 1 John 1:5   God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

  8. God is always good

  9. Psalm 119:68 — You are good, and what You do is good.

  10. Hebrews 13:8 — Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

  11. God is good regardless of our circumstances  (Nahum 1:7; Romans 5:8, 8:28-32; James 1:17)

  12. Everything God does is good

  13. Genesis 1:31 — God saw all that He had made (the earth & man), and it was very good.

  1. 2.God is Joyful

  2. Father is happy

  3. Psalm 2:4 — The One enthroned in Heaven laughs …

  4. Jesus is happy

  5. Luke 10:21 — Jesus was full of joy through the Holy Spirit.

  6. Holy Spirit is happy

  7. Psalm 16:11 — In His presence is fullness of joy and pleasures forever more.

  1. 3.God is Delighted in us

  2. God has always desired to be with us

  3. We focus on His presence because we see He is focused on us. (Ephesians 1:4-5; Zephaniah 3:17; John 6:44; Jeremiah 31:3; Psalms 65:4)

  4. God demonstrates His goodness

  5. Zephaniah 3:17 — He rejoices over you with singing.

        John 3:16 — For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son …

  1. The Good News (Gospel) Demonstrates God’s goodness

  2. Healing and the prophetic demonstrate His passion towards us.

  3. Matthew 4:23 — Jesus preached the good news of the Kingdom, and healed every disease and sickness among the people.

  4. Acts 8:7-8 — Many paralytics and cripples were healed. So there was great joy in that city.

  1. 4.God is for us

  2. God chose to redeem us from our sin. (Psalms 139:7; Romans 5:8, 8:30-32; 2 Corinthians 5:19)

  1. God is not mad at us (Hebrews 1:9; John 10:10; Romans 14:17-18; Psalms 30:11-12; Zephaniah 3:17; Isaiah 61:3)

  1. God does not cause sickness to teach people lessons or punish them. Jesus is our New Covenant model as He healed all the sick people He encountered. (Matthew 4:23, 8:2-3; Acts 10:38)

  1. 5.Experiencing God’s Goodness

        Psalm 34:8    Taste and see that the Lord is good. (always)

        Psalm 126:1-3   The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

  1. 6.Releasing God’s Goodness Through Us

        Romans 2:4— It’s His kindness that leads to repentance.

        Matthew 10:7-8 — Preach this message:  The Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead,

        cleanse those who have leprosy, and drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

  1. God wants us to have an encounter,

  2. so that we become an encounter for others


  1. 1.How has your view of God changed based on what you’ve learned of His goodness?

  2. 2.How can you reveal God’s goodness to the people around you?

  3. 3.How does experiencing God’s goodness change your view of yourself and your view of others?


  1. 1.Recount some of the ways God has been good to you (write down at least 10 instances).

  2. 2.Release God’s goodness to people around you in the next week (prophetic word/healing/smile, etc.) and note down their reaction? Note also how you felt afterwards?
